Frequently Asked Questions:

How fit do I need to be to do a class?

If you are medically fit and able to exercise for 45 minutes and you are keen to improve your own fitness then you should be fine. No matter how fit you are the classes are designed to be challenging with reps and runs being scaled to individuals’ abilities.

What happens if it’s raining?

Normal training carries on outdoors all year round.

Where is the meeting point?

The car park on Dr Johnson Avenue (What3Words).   For Battle PT classes meet at the truck.  For Strength and Functional Fitness Classes meet by flag on grass next to car park.

What should I wear?

Normal clothing and trainers for running as appropriate for the weather. If it's very wet and muddy then trail-running shoes can help, but are not essential.   When it is wet on the ground it is advisable to bring a dry t-shirt and warm jacket to put on at end of class for return home.

How do I book into a class?

Once you have registered on the Glofox App and entered payment details, you can book into any class up to 1 week in advance.  If you have to cancel, please ensure you cancel at least 2 hours before the scheduled class otherwise you will be charged £15.

When should I arrive?

Be ready to start 5 mins before the stated class time so register can be taken and any injuries or medical issues can be identified. Please don't arrive late as you will not be able to join the class.

Do I need to bring a water bottle?
It is more important to remain hydrated throughout the day prior to training and be conscious of alcohol and caffeine intake. There are no water breaks during the normal Battle PT classes, however you should bring a water bottle so you can re-hydrate immediately afterwards.

Is there anywhere to leave my bike?
There are places to lock your bike in the Meeting Point Carpark.  For the Strength and Functional Fitness Classes on Tuesdays, Thursday 0930 and Fridays we stay in one area next to the carpark so it's fine to just leave it on the grass.

Is there anywhere to have a shower and get changed?
The changing rooms and showers at Tooting Bec Athletic Track are open to the public and are located across the road from the Meeting Point Carpark.  Generally, they open at 7am, but please confirm as they do change their timetable.

Will I be shouted at and made to cry?
No, but you will be encouraged to work as hard as possible in order to get the most benefit from each class.

Do you ever take a day off?
Not many.  I take a couple of weeks off at Christmas and may take 2-4 weeks off during the year in order to fulfil other commitments.

Finally the most Frequently Asked Question:

Can you give me some more information?  (That isn't clear on website or Instagram: Here)

I'm 6'4",  and a Libra.

The first concert I went to was Bon Jovi.

Favourite city is Miami.

" I have been doing George's classes for 3 months now and I have noticed a huge improvement in my overall fitness. His classes are well designed over the week to balance cardio with strength training, high and low intensity. Classes cater to all abilities which makes it accessible to everyone. Don't expect any cancelled sessions due to the weather, and expect to push yourself hard during classes - but all classes are run in a very welcoming and enjoyable way, and there is a great community of people who attend. Highly recommend, and is a great alternative to going to the gym / running during the week! ."  Jamie I.
